Blooo is seeking a skilled Penetration Tester to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting authorized simulated attacks on our systems to identify vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. Your expertise will help enhance our security posture by ensuring that our networks, applications, and digital assets are secure against potential threats.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct penetration tests on applications, networks, and systems to identify security vulnerabilities.
- Develop and execute testing scripts and tools to efficiently assess vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to prepare for audits and penetration tests.
- Analyze test results and compile reports detailing vulnerabilities, the results of testing, and recommended remediation strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest penetration testing methods and security solutions.
- Work with security architects to understand areas of concern and develop testing strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and advice on security best practices to management and IT teams.
- Participate in security audits and risk assessments.
- Assist in developing and refining company guidelines and protocols regarding penetration testing.
- Train and mentor junior staff in penetration testing methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Penetration Tester or in a similar security role.
- Strong understanding of ethical hacking methodologies and techniques.
- Familiarity with programming/scripting in languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, or similar.
- Experience with penetration testing tools like Metasploit, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, and others.
- Knowledge of network security architecture, understanding of TCP/IP, and common networking protocols.
- Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or LPT are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical issues and solutions to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
